 I am the good shepherd, and know my
sheep, and am known of mine. (John 10: 14)
For thus saith the Lord
- I, the Lord, am
merciful and gracious unto those who fear me, and delight to honor those who
serve me in righteousness and in truth unto the end.
Great shall be their reward and eternal shall be their glory.
And to them will I reveal all mysteries, yea, all the hidden mysteries of my
kingdom from days of old, and for ages to come, will I make known unto them the
good pleasure of my will concerning all things pertaining to my kingdom.
Yea, even the wonders of eternity shall they know, and things to come will I
show them, even the things of many generations.
And their wisdom shall be great, and their understanding reach to heaven; and
before them the wisdom of the wise shall perish, and the understanding of the
prudent shall come to naught.
For by my Spirit will I enlighten them, and by my power will I make known unto
them the secrets of my will - yea, even those things which eye has not seen, nor
ear heard, nor yet entered into the heart of man.

...I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
And whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do
good is of me; for good cometh of none save it be of me. I am the same that
leadeth men to all good; he that will not believe my words will not believe me -
that I am; and he that will not believe me will not believe the Father who sent
me. For behold, I am the Father, I am the light, and the life, and the truth of
the world.
Come unto me, O ye Gentiles, and I will show unto you the greater things, the
knowledge which is hid up because of unbelief.
Come unto me, O ye house of Israel, and it shall be made manifest unto you how
great things the Father hath laid up for you, from the foundation of the world;
and it hath not come unto you, because of unbelief.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are
heavy ladden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my
yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11: 28-30)
For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.

For behold, this is my work and my glory

Yea, all things

and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart; Yea, for
food and for raiment, for taste and for smell, to strengthen the body and to
enliven the soul.

end were they made to be used, with judgment, not to excess, neither by
extortion.
And in nothing doth man offend God, or against none is his wrath kindled, save
those who confess not his hand in all things, and obey not his commandments.

If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14: 15)
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord,
Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my
Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 7: 21)
By this shall all men know that ye are my
disciples, if ye have love one to another. (John 13: 35)
... It is not good
that the man should be alone, therefore we will form an help meet for him.
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his
wife, and they shall be one flesh. (Abraham 5: 14, 18)
Therefore, fear
not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye
are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.
Behold, I do not condemn you; go your ways and sin no more; perform with
soberness the work which I have commanded you.
Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.

But seek ye first
the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all things shall be added unto
you. (Matthew 6:33)
Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the

I have prayed unto the Father, and ye all have witnessed. (3 Nephi 18: 24)
And now Father, I pray unto thee for them, and also for all those who shall
believe on their words, that they may believe in me, that I may be in them as
thou, Father, art in me, that we may be one. (3 Nephi 19: 23)
And let every man esteem his brother as himself, and practise virtue and
holiness before me.
And again I say unto you, let every man esteem his brother as himself.
For what man among you having twelve sons, and is no respecter of them, and they
serve him obediently, and he saith unto the one: Be thou clothed in robes and
sit thou there; and to the other: Be thou clothed in rags and sit thou there -
and looketh upon his son and saith I am just?
Behold, this I have given unto you as a parable, and it is even as I am. I say
unto you, be one; and if ye are not one ye are not mine.

...Therefore, what manner of men ought ye to be? Verily I say unto you, even as
I am. (3 Nephi 27: 27)
And if any man shall seek to build up himself, and seeketh not my counsel, he
shall have no power, and his folly shall be manifest.
Seek ye; and keep all your pledges one with another; and covet not that which is
thy brother's.
Keep yourselves from evil to take the name of the Lord in vain, for I am the
Lord your God, even the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham and of Isaac and
of Jacob.
I am he who led the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; and my arm is
stretched out in the last days, to save my people Israel.
Cease to contend one with another; cease to speak evil one of another.
Cease drunkenness; and let your words tend to edifying one another. If thou
borrowest of thy neighbor, thou shall restore that which thou has borrowed; and
if thou canst not repay then go straightway and tell thy neighbor, lest he
condemn thee.
If thou shalt find that which thy neighbor has lost, thou shalt make diligent
search till thou shalt deliver it to him again.
Thou shalt be diligent in preserving what thou hast, that thou mayest be a wise
steward; for it is the free gift of the Lord thy God, and thou art his steward.
If thou art merry, praise the Lord with singing, with music, with dancing, and
with a prayer of praise and thanksgiving.
If thou art sorrowful, call on the Lord thy God with supplication, that your
souls may be joyful. (Doctrine and Covenants 136: 19-29)
...Lift up your heads and be of good
comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will
covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage.
And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even
you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this
will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know
of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their affliction. (Mosiah
24: 13-14)
These things I
have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16: 33)
He that has an ear, let him hear what
the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of
the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. (Revelation 2:
7)
...He that
overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
(Revelation 2: 11)
...To him that
overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white
stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that
receiveth it. (Revelation 2: 17)
And he that overcometh, and keepeth my
works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: (Revelation 2:

He that
overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out
his name out of the book of life, but will confess his name before my Father,

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar
in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him
the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new
Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write

To him that
overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame,
and am set down with my Father in his throne.

He that
overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my
son. (Revelation 21: 7)
